2.You are not brushing your teeth long enough. You can use a timer. Brush one side of your teeth for 2 minutes just to give ample time for fluoride to react to your teeth. It is the recommended time by dentists. It is not about just hitting every tooth.

3.Try not to rinse it with water. Even if you brush for two minutes, you spit it out, gargle with water; you are taking half of the fluoride out of your mouth. The fluoride must stay inside the mouth. Using a mouthwash is a way around this technique, because you can rinse your mouth even after brushing. The fluoride will now stay inside your mouth even after you use a mouthwash. After brushing, forget about rinsing with water. Just spit it out and get use to that feeling.

4.Do not store your toothbrush in the bathroom. We are all doing it. It is because it is convenient to just store it in the bathroom. The shocking truth is, according research studies, more than half of toothbrushes tested has feces on them. It has higher percentage of getting wet plus it is humid inside the bathroom. Take it out of the bathroom. Put it near a night stand, et cetera.

5.Floss always. What is the best way to start flossing? The hardest part is creating a habit to start flossing. The best tip by far is actually just floss one tooth. The habit of flossing is easier after you started with that one tooth.

6.Brush your tongue. Your tongue is important in your brushing routine. Use your favorite toothbrush. Most toothbrushes have tongue scrapers that you can use. Brush your tongue after you’ve been brushing your teeth for 2 minutes. It is important you do every time you brush your teeth.

7.Do not use a hard tooth brush. Go with soft. This is a small issue actually amongst dentists. You are trying to get off some of the meat or food that gotten stuck in and around your teeth. The goal is not to shine your teeth up. Brushing them to shine them is not the main objective here. Hard and even medium toothbrushes are going to damage your gums.
